AIDS WALK L.A.!
Sisters walking for a cause! What will you walk for?
A Letter from our President
Moore, Oklahoma – a suburb of Oklahoma City – has been struck by a
killer tornado that has left devastation, destruction and death in its wake.
The images of flattened homes, uprooted trees and streets reduced to rubble are
shocking. There are massive power outages and flooding – all which have left
the city virtually destroyed. Against the depth and scope of this tragedy,
citizens are both traumatized and inspired to assist in the relief effort.
Journey offers our prayers, comfort and support to all those affected.
President Obama has pledged federal support and has appealed to
citizens to assist with the recovery effort. As a Organization we
pledge to get behind the reflect efforts and will do our part to
contribute to the revitalization of the citizens in the region.
Thank you for your generosity and willingness to lift your voice
and heart in prayer for all affected.
Graciously,
Makresha M. Reneau
President Journey Mosaic Inc.

Journey
members held a small reception and donated over 55
jackets collected from its members and friends! Such an effortless
thought. Nothing prepared us to accept all the help and wonderful
donations of Gift bags from UCLA Aids Research team and
Versacold that donated 20 sterling silver watches. Gift bags were filled with toiletries all purchased by our Sistah Tasha.

‘Journey Lends a Helping Hand’
On Saturday, November 19th, JOURNEY took part in a very special event.
The Union Rescue Mission located in Downtown Los Angeles fired up their ovens and deep fryers and began cooking turkeys as early as midnight.
They served piping hot Thanksgiving meals with all the fixings beginning at 11 a.m.
By early Saturday morning, the Mission had already baked 300 turkeys and were in the process of frying 200 more.
An estimated 5,000 people attended Saturday's feast, breaking records for the mission. Journey was happy to work in ‘ THE PIE IN THE SKY ‘ and ‘ KIDS ZONE’ . “ The must humbling part of the day was watching ordinary people WASH the feet of people living on the streets. Now that’s , ‘ Thanksgiving’ ,
Rebekah Bell, Journey member.

Journey's Pledge Poem
The hue of us is simple
We don’t require titles or messages from unknown persons to identify us
We are simply pushing towards our destiny
Restoring our right to exist
Breathing the air from our father
We are One
Holding hands, captivating plans
Remarkable
Undeniably different
Purposed for greatness
We are Sisters
Innocent, yet wounded
Tatted yet not broken, we are
Women on a Journey
Not looking back but reaching back to pull up
Satisfied with Gods design
I am wonderfully made
And simply trying to reach my destiny so you dare not stop me!
love us
