Our Journey, Our Mission

We as Journey openly embrace the multicultural elements of women from various aspects of life. We are committed to reinvigorating the personal and economic growth of our women by empowering them to action. We strive to embrace the culture of our community, the religion of our people, and the relationships amongst us. As we are reaching back, Journey is personally committed to the strengthening of us as black women while we stand on the Principle of Sankofa’!

Journey consists of motivated women! We consist of self-assured women! We are motivated women who are dedicated to the bettering of our communities, of our lives, of the standpoint we have in a stacked society. The resolution of your inner spirit determines the outcome of your external happenings. Journey has decreed this year of 2017 to be our year, a year of Uninterrupted Journey. To be apologetic of your own personal growth is to be complicit in the destruction of a better you. The road to empowerment is one crowded with pitfalls, do not believe in the societal notion that if your road isn’t straight and easy then you’re doing something wrong. God has a preconceived plan for us, mysterious are his ways but omniscient are his motives. Journey in 2017 is the year of self-determination, the year of purpose, the year of empowerment, the year of negating apologetic actions and instead being unapologetically you.

Our Platform 2012- Current  

The incessant evolution of our lives forces us to adapt in order to move forward and we are more than comfortable with change. Journey is now coaching and training our women in preparation for the management of our new Journey Resource Center. Our vision of a non-profit headquarters for journey was first conceptualized in 2012 and we are now able to operate on a larger scale in bettering the women in our communities. Health and fitness are two of our leading priorities to maintaining the bodies of our women. Life coaching is offered as we will continue to embrace organizations that hold similarly high standards and teach our youth about HIV, Aids, and Heart Disease. Journey is ready to grow and we are ready for you to grow with us.

Our lives are nothing without Christ. Because of Him we have Life. If we can’t do anything else we can take the time to fall on our face from 6:00-6:30 am each Friday and say “Thank You Father”. Please join the women of Journey as we praise and worship God with Women Nationwide. Our Prayers have been continuous since 2011 and ceasing that will never be on our agenda. Pray with us in 2017 in Love!
